My Bio
I enjoy making digital art in my spare time. I don't like to try and make art to conform to any particular style, but as my favourite art genre is Surrealism I don't deny that does have some influence. I fell in love with Surrealism as an art genre when I was in my early teens, without really knowing the history. Then when I started doing digitial art I discoverd my process was aligned to that propounded by the early Surrealists (see my journal entry 'About Surrealism'). I love starting with one idea and letting it develop almost as if it has it's own life, to end up with something I hadn't originally envisioned . I like to do some 'regular' art every now and then too. It's all great fun!

Yet, what I consider to be totally bland, unispiring, unemotional, unartistic pieces of so called 'art' continuously gets high exposure in famous galleries and sells for ridiculous amounts fo mo

I've toyed with the idea of joining DeviantArt for a long time. But I can't deny that the features this site offers are really great. So I've taken the plunge. I now have to sort through my many images to decide what to post...

My favourite art genre is Surrealism, and has been ever since I found a book on Surrealist artist at my school library.I'dnever seen any art like it before and found it fascinating, intriguing and  captivating.  Here's a snippet of my article giving a brief introduction to the history of the movement: BEGINNINGS Surrealism is associated the weird and bizarre. It has been described as one of the most important intellectual movements of the 20th Century, and actually began as a literary movement, and  was intended partly as a political vehicle to bring about social revolution. Many  were very politically conscious and  active, being aligned w
